Introduction
We want Belmont to be as inclusive as possible both inside and outside the classroom. This year, we are working towards our Bronze LGBT Charter and hope to get all of our staff and young people involved through training, events and inclusive lessons. This will help us to make practical changes so our LGBTQ+ pupils feel supported and our policies are in line with current legislation. Read more about the charter on the LGBT Youth Scotland website.
See the LGBT Charter rights below.
How can you get involved?
The LGBTQ+ group meets on a Tuesday lunchtime and is run by Mr Marrison, Miss Keirs and Kirsty Agnew (Barnardos). The group is a safe space for any LGBTQ+ young person. Come along to make friends, plan events and promote LGBTQ+ inclusion.
Need support?
Support is always available in school. Speak to your guidance teacher or a member of staff you trust.
